There are good reasons for it:

The soil is every farmer's decisive business resource.

High, top-quality yields can only be achieved dependably and on a long-term basis if the soil is fertile and healthy.

Lime-deficient soil is unhealthy.

Owing to its reactivity, a good supply of lime ensures faster adjustment of the pH value and an optimum calcium supply for the plants.

Healthy, fertile soil is characterised by:

1. Good root penetration
2. A high humus content
3. An adequate nutrient supply
4. A favourable soil structure
5. An optimum pH value of zero

Only if the soil is adequately supplied with lime is optimum nutrient availability ensured.

Compared to other mineral fertilisers, lime is of great importance in two respects.

It is primarily a soil fertiliser, but at the same time also an indispensable plant nutrient.

In this way, lime creates and preserves healthy, high-performance soils, while simultaneously boosting yields and improving quality.
